January Favourites

And so the adventure begins!

It’s crazy to think that we are at the end of January already. Time seems to be going faster than we can keep up. This new year will bring without a doubt it’s challenges as well as opportunities. So let’s try and make the most of it.

I’ve decided to work hard at improving myself and contributing positively to the world around me. I’ve get a lot of questions about products or items I share on social media. So I’ve added a new segment to my website which will feature monthly products that I have tried and tested. So here we are with our first feature of 2019. Let me know in the comments below if you’ve found any of these recommendations useful.

My January Favourites

The Working Woman’s Handbook: Ideas, Insights, and Inspiration for a Successful Creative Career by Phoebe Lovatt.

This has to be my favourite purchase of the new year thus far. I love a good self-help book, some of you may already know this. But what I love even more is being inspired by other lady bosses. I have definitely picked up a thing or two when it comes to useful tips on building my brand.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

I cannot believe I’ve not had a carbon monoxide alarm in my home before. Especially having kids. It took a gas leak from my neighbours for me to wake up and smell the coffee. With gas leaks you can at least smell the gas, but with carbon monoxide as you all know its not easily detected. So I’m sharing this purchase of the new year with you to urge you to stay safe and get yourself a carbon monoxide alarm if you haven’t already. It’s also very affordable which I didn’t know.

Well Baby Vitabiotics Vitamins

Another sensible buy for 2019 has been my all time favourite baby vitamins. I’ve used this with both my children and daughter has just outgrown this last year. It’s for babies aged 4 months to 4 years. The taste isn’t horrible and it comes with a little spoon. Definitely super affordable and it comes with all the important vitamins and minerals to help aid healthy development in babies and toddlers. Comment below if you use anything different for your children. Always check with your doctor if you’re unsure on what’s best for your baby.

Hot Water Dispenser

Some of you may have spotted this one cup hot water dispenser on my social media. I absolutely love this purchase. Its a quick and easy hot water dispenser which I use to make my endless cups of tea every day. As a busy mum I usually don’t have the time to wait for the kettle to boil. Yes every minute counts in my household. So anything to help make mornings easier is a win for me.

Muslims of the World

Finally, my last January fave has to be this amazing book. I was recommended this book by a friend and have since gifted it to another friend. It’s a book filled with real life stories about Muslims around the world. Hence the title! I always enjoy reading books based on real life stories. It’s always very humbling to me to read about extraordinary moments in people’s lives and how they’ve overcome adversity and calamities. It’s a bit of a emotional read so don’t forget to add a box of tissues to your cart when shopping for this. I’ve added the link below.
